The simplest explanation is more likely the correct one. Entities must not be multiplied beyond what is necessary: Occam's Razor or The Law of Parsimony.

The Forgotten Yesterday
The car whizzes past lamp posts,
As the city shimmers in illumination,
Her hair's blown across my face,
And I know nothing beats this sensation,
She's stealing glances at me,
I see from the corner of my eye,
My eyes are still on the road,
But, her face is all that's on my mind
I look at her- so beautiful,
A silhouette drawn in the moonlight,
Her hair lashing with the wind,
The radiance from her face glows so bright
With no aim nor destination,
We drive into the wake of dawn,
With no regrets and no looking back,
All that we leave behind is gone...

Memories
Ever had someone walk into your life,
A someone who changed everything?
From the way you walk, talk, dress and think
Someone who's changed every little thing?
They say you never miss the water until its gone
Well its not an easy fact to live with
But, i know my faith will carry me strong
Because i know my path is lit
It happened so fast, that i cannot recount
Our bonds were devoured by a clash of egos
Now all i know is i've lost a lot
And my joy was drowned in a sea of sorrow
You hurt me and scarred me in such beautiful ways
They're reminders of my regret
Here's to you, great memories and wonderful days
All for which i remain in debt...

Iron Heart
Sick of having fingers pointing at me
Sick of having people refusing to try to get me
The tension builds in these veins n tears my mind apart
Who in the world cares? They say I have an iron heart
Why am i the target for all your blame?
Why am i the forgotten wall of shame?
I refuse to be walked over and I want to stand apart
I am proud to have been blessed with this iron heart
No matter how it rusts, I shall become whole again
Complete the memories and I shall heal my pain
Words and punches shall phase right through me
Because the iron heart represents the new me...
The Dance of the Puppet
Born a product of circumstance,
He sleeps with his eyes wide open,
A puppet dancing to crafty hands,
The rebel in him lies unspoken,
Waiting for the right moment- the perfect chance,
He dances along, to his master's hands,
But has he forgotten, lying in the dark?
That he must keep alive that one last spark?
Naye, the boys got the fire,
He knows to snatch what he desires,
And thats going to take him higher,
Look back at it, he will,
And laugh destiny in the face,
As time ticks away still,
The boy sits dreaming away at his place...
Angel's Call

Clouds moving in, shrouding us in dark
As we swim in sin, we know who we are
Voices in my head, and sudden bursts of vision
I know they're not there, but they've shown me my mission
We fall to temptation, and learn from our mistakes
Or get lost in that sensation, till the angels wake
It takes a lot of patience, to get through this fall
I think I'll make it, because I hear my angel's call
In the coldest of nights, I sat by a fire
A thought ran though my head, more like desire
I wanted a new life, a better one than this
My angel told me I was right, and she blew me a kiss
We fall to temptation, and learn from our mistakes
Or get lost in that sensation, till the angels wake
It takes a lot of patience, to get through this fall
I think I'll make it, because I hear my angel's call
