The simplest explanation is more likely the correct one. Entities must not be multiplied beyond what is necessary: Occam's Razor or The Law of Parsimony.

The Forgotten Yesterday
The car whizzes past lamp posts,
As the city shimmers in illumination,
Her hair's blown across my face,
And I know nothing beats this sensation,
She's stealing glances at me,
I see from the corner of my eye,
My eyes are still on the road,
But, her face is all that's on my mind
I look at her- so beautiful,
A silhouette drawn in the moonlight,
Her hair lashing with the wind,
The radiance from her face glows so bright
With no aim nor destination,
We drive into the wake of dawn,
With no regrets and no looking back,
All that we leave behind is gone...
